CM Update 7/26/09

Isaiah 10:27 - It shall come to pass in that day that his burden will be taken away from your shoulder, and his yoke from your neck, and the yoke will be destroyed because of the anointing oil.

Sometimes I feel overwhelmed by situations before me. It may be a conversation I don't want to have. It may be a problem that seems unfixble. It may be when I feel over my head. Most of the time these problems don't come to pass, but I still get worked up. Yet, this promise in Isaiah gives me great peace. I recently was interacting with a group of people far my superior, but I realized I had no reason to be yoked with fear. The anointing of the Holy Spirit is in me and on me. He is my guide and my defense.

Know that the Holy Spirit is upon you as well. Trust in His power and guidance.

Weekly Updates:

• This Sunday, Equipping for Ministry will be an abridged version (45 min) due to the Baptism. We will have a simple meeting to catch up before finishing off the summer.
• Jillian and Gerrit need more help with the CM schedule for August. If you can help by filling a slot or two please let Gerrit or Jillian know.
  
• If you are new to the Children's Ministry then please attend our CM Orientation this Tuesday at the church office.
