CM Update 8/16/09

John 2:7 - Jesus said to them, "Fill the waterpots with water." And they filled them up to the brim.

Almost every coach has asked the players of his team to "give it your all" or to give over and above their all. He wants to extract the best out of his team. The coach loves the player who goes all out on his/her own initiative.
In this passage, Jesus gives a simple command to the servants of a wedding party. And they go all out. They don't fill the pots halfway or near the brim, but they fill them to the brim. This is a great quality to have in serving Jesus. As you serve in ministry, go all out for Him.

In Jesus,
Phil

  1. Keeping positive is a matter of the heart and mind. Where is our focus? I like to stay in the Word and prayer. Alot of times when I'm weary its because I'm not doing those things. But on the other hand sometimes growing weary can be an exasperating thing because we want to have a servant's attitude. Maybe because we have personal issues or family issues going on we grow weary. Sometimes we just need to press through it and ask the Lord to reveal our heart to us because He knows it better than we do. It could be a heart issue or He could just be teaching us to press through the dry times or both. He could also be showing us that our motives are wrong for serving in the first place. That's when we should pray for an attitude adjustment! :)
