One of the kids in the children's ministry asked me if I knew that Tiger Woods decided to change his name to a new animal. I said, "No." He said, "Yeah, he can't decide between chee-tah and lion." Bu bum ching! (The sound of a drum after a bad joke.)
Our society is so sexually-charged that we have to be very careful how we interact with others. We always have to make sure we are keeping ourselves and others safe. However, when I read Romans 12:10, the words affectionate and brotherly struck me. We should be affectionate with one another as we would with a brother or sister. We are family, and God desires that we care for one another as family. So, in that light, I love each of you brothers and sisters.
Happy New Year!!!

The Lord has been showing me that even in my pain, my boredom, or any other trials, that He truly understands what I am going through and He really does see me. The thought of going through surgery a few years ago would have sent me over the edge, and I would have lost it, but the Lord truly gave me the strength I needed to deal with it. In every situation, even when I think it is consuming, or unbearable, He gives me just want I need at that time to endure in His strength. Praise be to God our loving Father!
ReplyDeleteTammy, that is a good word. It is wonderful that He is what we need. It is good to have friends and family, but He is the one who sustains us at all times.
ReplyDeleteThe Lord has been showing me that amongst possible frustration with the direction of the nation and what that will mean for us christians or amongst the lukewarm in the church or anywhere we feel ....( I can't find the word) that He has always had a remnant that is true to Him. That sincerely loves Him. Like Elijah, when God told him I have hidden away a remnant of those who have not bowed to baal. I praise the Lord for His sovereignty and power when I think of that truth. Thankyou Lord Jesus that I live amongst a piece of Your remnant:)
