CM Update 3/7/10

Psalm 17:13-15 -- Arise, O LORD, confront him, cast him down; deliver my life from the wicked with Your sword, with Your hand from men, O LORD, from men of the world who have their portion in this life, and whose belly You fill with Your hidden treasure. They are satisfied with children, and leave the rest of their possession for their babes. As for me, I will see Your face in righteousness; I shall be satisfied when I awake in Your likeness.

What satisfies the believer? We are not satisfied with the temporary. We are satisfied with the eternal. One temporal treasure that many of us value more than anything is our families, but even they don't fulfill us. We are satisfied in seeing the face of God; in having a close relationship with Him. What a wonderful Psalm and a great truth on which to reflect.

In Jesus,
Phil

  1. "For everyone who partakes only of milk is not accustomed to the word of righteousness, for he is an infant. But solid food is for the mature, who because of PRACTICE have their senses trained to discern good and evil." Hebrews 5:13-14
