CM Update 2/27/11

Psalm 112:7 -- He (the righteous man) is not afraid of bad news; his heart is firm, trusting in the LORD.

Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhh!  Praise the Lord we can hold on to this truth.  We need not be afraid of bad news because we know that He works all things for good for those who love Him and are called according to His purpose.  We also know that those who wait on the Lord will run and not grow weary, will walk and not grow faint.  Praise the Lord we serve and have the GOD of the all things as our husband and protector!

In the Grace of Christ,
Pastor Alan

CM Update 2/13/11

Philippians 4:4 -- Rejoice in the Lord always; again I will say, Rejoice.

Seriously...need I say more.  If you are having a hard time with this today then take just 2 minutes to stop and think about how good He is and how He has saved you from eternal punishment in hell.  Then you will be able to rejoice in the Lord always!

In the Grace of Christ,
Pastor Alan

CM Update 2/6/11

Ruth 1:20 -- She said to them, "Do not call me Naomi (meaning pleasant); call me Mara (meaning bitter), for the Almighty has dealt very bitterly with me."

Definite hard times had come upon Naomi.  She lost her husband and her two sons and attributes the losses to the Lord.  However, in the midst of the bitterness of life, she turns not away from the Lord, but to Him as she left Moab for Bethlehem.  Naomi is a great example of what we should do when difficult times come...we need to turn TO the Lord...even if we think the Lord has brought the difficulties upon us.

Naomi, because she turned to the Lord, was blessed immensely at the end of the book...ultimately providing the lineage of Jesus.  The Lord can bring sweet things out of bitter circumstances, just turn to Him and trust Him in all things.

In the Grace of Christ,
Pastor Alan
