CM Update 3/13/11

Matthew 14:13 -- Now when Jesus heard this, he withdrew from there in a boat to a desolate place by himself.  But when the crowds heard it, they followed him on foot from the towns.

Have you ever become frustrated at the busyness of life and how it can seem to rob time from the Lord.  I can sometimes find myself thinking about how much easier it must of been to spend time with the Lord before smart phones, email, instant chat, and automobiles and the demand they put on one's life.  How much better the days must of been before instant access to everything and everyone was possible.  It can cause me to begin to wonder, "How can anyone do it?" Then I read a verse like this.

Long before the mind conceived such technological advances, Jesus was succumbed to demands we could not even dream about.  About the only time he could get away from everyone, and with his Father, was in the middle of the night.  Jesus knows about a busy life with great demands...therefore he is able to help us when we are stretched by such demands and tempted to lose time with the Lord.  Call out to Him when you need time with the Lord and ask for His help to find that precious time we all need.

In the Grace of Christ,
Pastor Alan
